お花見 (o hana mi - flower watching)

One of the most beautiful and famous things in Japan is spring, more specific the cherry blossom. Most Japanese want to visit parks during these days to enjoy the blossom, have barbecue and of coure consume large amounts of beer.
As it was a very sunny day, of course everyone wanted to go to a park. Our first goal, Shinjuku park, had a waiting line around 2 blocks, so we went to another park, whose name I forgot, but it was still very crowded.

Furtunately there was a lake in the middle of the park, where one could rent a boat.

Some of the boats were cheesy swans, but fortunately we managed to get a real boat. After we figured out how to use the boat (small vido clip) we enjoyed the cherry blossom from the water (click image for an other small video clip).

Finally I joined the Japanese people and took the most popular image of the world myself: The picture of a japanese chery blossom.
